KONSEP DESAIN KAWASAN WISATA PESISIR PANTAI KOMBI DENGAN PENDEKATAN ARSITEKTUR LANSEKAP

This study aims to develop a design concept for the Kombi Beach coastal tourism area using a landscape architecture approach based on the area’s characteristics, potential, and constraints as a foundation for sustainable coastal tourism development. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and supporting questionnaires. An analysis was conducted on the condition of the beach, coastal vegetation, land use, circulation, and community activities, which were then synthesized based on the theories of John O. Simonds, Simon Bell, and Katherine Crewe. The results indicate that Kombi Beach possesses potential in terms of its coastal landscape, natural vegetation, and community activities; however, it still faces constraints related to facilities, accessibility, and vulnerability to climate change and sea-level rise. The resulting design concepts include the Waterfront Community Zone (WCZ), the Recreation Coastal Zone (RCZ), and the Ecological Coastal Zone (ECZ), which integrate landscape resilience, smart tourism, a sense of place, and community empowerment. These concepts are expected to serve as a guideline for the government in developing coastal tourism at Kombi Beach and as a reference for future research.
